1 3/4" GA Gun Belt
If you're in the market for a 1 3/4" gun belt, then you
might want to take a look at the new line of gun belts that we started offering.
Ed and I stumbled across a local leather craftsman who produces a tremendous
line of handcrafted leather gun belts at an amazing price.
We were so impressed with the craftsmanship and quality that
we commissioned him to produce a version of his line under the Gunner's Alley
name.
Why makes these 1 3/4" gun belts such a good value? A number of factors:
Materials
Most leather gun belts are done in traditional cowhide leather. Instead of cowhide,
this craftsman uses two strips of 6-7 ounce grade Bull hide leather.
Why use bull hide over cowhide? Bull hide is denser, stronger, and more durable
than cowhide. As such, a bull hide gun belt it is much less likely to stretch
out over time like a comparable cowhide gun belt will.
All these belts are stitched with a commercial grade, heavy
duty nylon thread designed to last. The buckles used are a high quality, low
profile type designed to allow the buckled belt to lay as flat as possible.
The buckles are available in either solid brass or plated nickel. The buckles
themselves are interchangeable, and attach to the belt via a set of black chicago
screws.

Comments
Ed/Brad,
The new GA belts
arrived today, and you guys have hit a home run with this product. The
quality of the leather is first rate, the stitching is strong and even,
the hardware is top of the line, and the cut is straight and true. They
weigh a lot more than I thought they would, which attests to the quality
of the leather. Congratulations on adding another outstanding product,
along with continuing your superb customer service. All I can say is
thank you for suggesting this product, and thank you for getting it
to me so quickly. Yes, you may feel free to use this note as an endorsement
if you feel it is appropriate.

Customer Comments
Ed and Brad,
I just wanted to provide some feedback on my new Gunner's Alley Belt.
What a great belt and a great value! I own several other belts including
Wild Bill's, the 5-Stitch Wilderness Instructor's Belt, and Uncle Mike's.
My GA Belt is 1-1/2" Cordovan w/ brass buckle, and exhibits the
best fit and finish of all I've owned.
The outside surface shows very little wear and scratching, and I noticed
that if I do scratch it, the color stays consistent, so the scratches
are not visible unless you're up close. Perhaps this is due to the submersive
dying process vs. the conventional sprayed-on dye. Although it's different
than my pants size, the length is right on the money based on the measuring
instructions.
As for function, this piece holds up like a champ. I'm a reserve deputy
sheriff and recently had occasion to work on duty in a coat and tie
in lieu of my uniform. I strung almost all my duty gear (normally carried
on a big Sam Browne duty belt) on my GA Belt and believe it or not,
it held up with nearly equal support as the duty belt. We're talking
gun, spare mag, OC/holder, 26" ASP baton/holder, cuffs, Surefire
light/holder, full size Streamlight SL-20 on a ring, cell phone, PLUS
all the stuff in my pockets -- large folding knife, wallet, badge, keys,
notepad, etc. It was truly impressive. I've worn the belt every day
for several months now -- for both a dress belt at work (shirt and tie)
and then as part of my carry rig in my off time (which normally includes
a full-size weapon, at least 1 spare mag, flashlight, cellphone, multitool,
plus all the usual pocket stuff). I haven't seen any stretching at all
(perhaps due to the bull hide vs. usual cowhide), and it still looks
as good as the first day it arrived.
Another great feature is the undyed inner surface. I have another brown
leather gun belt that has left brown spots on some of my khaki pants
from the belt's dye bleeding. No such problems with the natural finish
on the GA Belt. The hardware is very solid and has stayed shiny and
new as well.
All in all, this thing is an incredible value. I have a belt that has
the look, feel, support, and durability I'd expect from custom pieces
costing $100 or more. I think this product fills a huge niche that we've
needed for a long time. I haven't seen anything on the market that can
match it's value, and I can't think of anything I would do to change
it.
Sincerely,
Tillman Cuttino

Sizing
IMPORTANT - As these are custom made on an as ordered basis,
please take the time to size the belt in the manner specified below. Your current
pant size is probably not be an accurate measure of your waist, so please don't
use that figure.
The most accurate measurement method is to actually measure
your waist. We recommend that use a cloth measuring tape. Run the tape through
the belt loops on your pants, snug it up, and then round to the nearest inch.
If you don't have a cloth measuring tape available, you can
use a string. Run the string through your belt loops and then mark the measurement.
Lay the string flat and then measure the length. If the measurement is fractional,
then round up the nearest length.
Ed and I feel that these belts are a tremendous value for the
money. We've looked at (and own) a number of excellent gun belts from manufacturers
like Kramer, Rosen, and Sparks. With that being said, we are very comfortable
stating that these 1 3/4" GA Belts are of equal quality to those manufacturers,
at a lower cost. If you are looking for a good 1 3/4" gun belt, give this
one a try. We don't think that you will regret it. As with all our products,
the new GA Gun Belts come with our 45 money back guarantee.
