G-CODE GXS Xtreme Service Holster

G-CODE's most recent offering, the GXS Xtreme series, is their top of the line kydex holster system. The GXS design integrated a number of popular features from the standard G-CODE line, coupled with some new advancements. Like the standard G-CODE line of holsters, the GXS is built on a modular system where various attachment methods can be integrated to one holster to meet the needs of various carrying applications.

The GXS incorporates G-CODE's form fitted geometry which is built using precision CAD technology. The result is an exact snap-in fit for a specific weapon. The fold-over kydex sheet design minimizes bulk and weight. This design takes up less space on the waist compared to the two piece kydex design found on the traditional G-CODE. The GXS is built using .125 grade kydex sheeting, which is a thicker grade kydex than what is used on the standard G-CODE line.

The GXS series is available in the following colors:

Black
Foliage Green
Coyote Tan

Currently the GXS is available with the following modular attachments:

Straight Drop Paddle
GXS Paddle
Straight Drop Belt Attachment - can be worn either in the High Ride position or turned around and worn in the Low Ride position. High Ride position is pictured here.

Low Ride position

If you are familiar with the standard G-CODE line, then you may notice the mounting attachments look slightly different. This is because all the mounting attachments have been redesigned in the GXS series. This redesign includes a revolutionary belt attachment that can be worn in either a high ride position, or a low ride position. Like the standard G-CODE, The GXS series comes with a standard attachment of your choice, and additional attachments can be purchased below using the "Additional Attachments" drop down menu.

Currently the GXS series is available in a Right or Left hand model for the following weapons, with more weapons to follow:

  • Beretta 92/96
  • Beretta Brigadier
  • 1911 Government 5"
  • 1911 Commander 4 1/4"
  • 1911 Compact 4"
  • 1911 Officer 3 1/2"
  • 1911 Defender 3"
  • 1911 Government 5" w/Rails
  • 1911 Commander 4 1/4" w/Rails
  • 1911 Compact 4" w/Rails

Like all the G-CODE products, the GXS and related items (attachments, harnesses, etc.) are all covered by G-CODE's Lifetime Warranty.

The GXS looks to be the next generation in hard use kydex holsters. The design and enhanced materials provide a good stable platform for readily accessible, and rapid firearm presentation.

Some commonly asked questions about the GXS series:

What's the basic difference between the GXS and the standard G-CODE line? Also what justifies the $15.00 price difference?

Will the GXS series be available in additional weapon models in the future?

Will the GXS series mount to the G-CODE REAC Tactical Thigh harness?

I already have a standard G-CODE. Will the attachments from that holster also work with the GXS series?

What's the basic difference between the GXS and the standard G-CODE line? Also what justifies the $15.00 price difference?

Good question. A few primary areas of differences:

  • The GXS is produced from a thicker, more durable grade of kydex.
  • The GXS is a one piece folded over design (like a taco), while the standard G-CODE line is a pancake style two piece design.
  • The GXS has a redesigned mounting attachment system.
  • The GXS is available in more weapon fit models than the standard G-CODE.

Will the GXS series be available in additional weapon models in the future?

Yes, plans are currently underway to add the Sig 229/229R along with the Springfield XD series. More weapons models will be available in the future.

Will the GXS series mount to the G-CODE REAC Tactical Thigh harness?

Yes, it will.

I already have a standard G-CODE. Will the attachments from that holster also work with the GXS series?

Unfortunately, the attachments for your standard G-CODE holster won't fit the GXS. However, the current GXS attachments will retro fit to your standard G-CODE holster. In other words, the GXS paddle and belt attachments should work with your standard G-CODE holster just fine.
