SureFire 6P Original
The SureFire 6P Original is one of SureFire's most experienced
lights, and considered the one that started it all. It's a palm sized incandescent
flashlight designed for tactical use, self defense, and general use.
The
6P is similar to the SureFire G2, except that the 6P has a polymer body instead
of the aluminum body of the 6P. The 6P emits a pre-focused incandescent
beam that produces 4 times the light output of a large two D-cell flashlight. The light output can be doubled with the optional P61 lamp.
The flashlight body is manufactured from a rugged aerospace
grade aluminum that is available in either black or gun metal gray. Like nearly
all the SureFire lights, the 6P features a O-ring seal that is weatherproof
and water resistant. The light shines through a tempered Pyrex window. The tailcap
on the 6P features a press button activated instant on, which can be twisted
to change to a constant-on. The tailcap also features a lockout switch that
will prevent accidental activation when the light is in transit to storage.
